Afgen earned his bachelors degree from NYU in Film and Television production from the Tish School of Arts. He has also completed several certifications in Marketing, Social Media, and Gamification from University of Penn. Wharton School of Business and Georgetown University.

Prior to joining socialmpresa, Afgen has had the great fortune of working for some of the worlds largest brands including: Apple, Slim Fast, and Zayan Finance, to name a few. He has worked in the capacity of creative director, art director, lead creative trainer, and marketing director.

Currently Afgen is also the Chief Media Strategist for a non-profit OneBlue, a board member of the Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals, and works closely with the UN on the Development 2015 Agenda.

Nabeela lived in a Medieval Tuscan town for 6 months and made jewelry.


Nabeela is an entrepreneur and management consultant with 20+ years in the fields of technology, finance, marketing, public relations and nonprofits. Most recently, iIn collaboration with Goldman Sachs and the US Department of State, Nabeela  launched  the  Propelling Women Entrepreneurs Program.  Most recently, Nabeela  was selected by the US Department of State to head the formation of US-Pakistan Women’s Business Council, a private-public partnership, to promote women’s entrepreneurship both in the United States and in Pakistan.

Previous to SocialMpresa, and in line with her entrepreneurial spirit, Nabeela headed the New Initiatives division for Fannie Mae where she focused on developing new programs and products.  For her groundbreaking work, she was awarded for being a top contributor.  Nabeela  co-founded  Grid Technology Partners, an avant garde firm that specialized in grid computing, a predecessor to  cloud computing a decade before it hit mainstream.Always a leader, Nabeela is actively involved in civil and human rights issues and during college founded a national nonprofit, Center for Balkan Development, to educate the public about the impact of the war in the former Yugoslavia and provide aid.

Nabeela earned her bachelor’s degree from Smith College in Comparative Literature and Architecture.  She attended Dartmouth College for her Masters in Government and Harvard University to study Middle East Studies and History for her doctorate. While at Harvard, she founded the Harvard Islamic Law Forum and continued to head the Center for Balkan Development.

Nabeela is the author of Smart Cards: Markets of Opportunities, Technologies of Choice and co-author of The Global Grid Computing Report 2002—Technology and Market Assessment.  She is the recipient of the National American Precis Syndicate Award for extraordinary achievement in Media Relations. In her spare time, Nabeela enjoys cycling, running, reading.  Nabeela is fluent in Pushto, Urdu, French and Italian and has working knowledge of Arabic.

Nabeela is a board member of OPEN and the US-Pakistan Women’s Business Council.

Brett graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelors in Neuroscience. He uses that education to bring a creative and scientific approach to everything he places his mark on, from PR campaigns to brewing coffee. This passion for innovation, efficiency, and fostering relationships is palpable from the time you meet him.

Prior to socialMpresa, Brett took a full scale corporate social media platform at GTSI from ideation to production. While there, he also increased business and fostered relationships across six IT manufacturers. In addition to these roles, Brett also completed work with the US Army, creating captivating video content for an internal social network.

Staying up-to-date with current social media, IT, and marketing trends isn’t the only thing that interests Brett. He also takes time each year to volunteer for community building efforts through The DC Center, Bridges to Community, and SOMOS.

Imran is a senior Technical Leader with extensive experience implementing CMM compliant solutions for NARA, USPTO, USDA and government and commercial organizations. His current interests include Big Data, Knowledge Management, Enterprise Relationship Management and the development of high technology solutions for Healthcare and Alternate Energy. Imran has a Masters in Information systems and an undergraduate degree in computer and information systems from Northern Arizona University.
